When they let the bean counters in the door of our health care institutions 25 years ago the beginning of the end commenced and you ain't seen nothing yet. <br>
So an employee doctor, say, a hospitalist who attends you because your regular doctor no longer does hospital rounds, has to make a choice. Does he send a patient in iffy condition home or face the wrath of the administrators? That's a sad rock and hard place for a doctor to find himself.
