No jobs, or so many at low hours, even more at sub standard wages. What do you expect?

Triple the minimum wage (bringing it up to early 1970's earning power) with a job guarantee. Establish health care as a human right... and much of this will stop.

With the disparity and contempt we have in this country I am only amazed this isn't a much bigger problem. Just wait till the iron gate scrap value of gated communities hits 2.35 lb.

and tonight the LR Board of Directors will wail and give lip-service to “crimes against humanity”, but will offer only pet projects and token funding for Prevention, Intervention and Treatment programs.

The root cause is that the Board and Chamber ignores the disenfranchised people of Little Rock. Murder rates will continue to soar and white-flight will match it. Until there are jobs and living wages for all, it will only get worse in the Rock.

Thanks Mark and Jay, you really know how to lead the city... to ruins!

SHIT, they got a police substation there, and we are building them Newer Bigger Better One.....but it's mainly a hangout for FOP bull sessions and donut restocking. Get off your butts and patrol the area. Maybe instead of a police substation, we just need to provide POLICE. what good does a comfy lobby do for public safety, anyway...no crime will occur in view of the picture window, I guess.
Those thefts are a sickening development...but also a reason why most public art is BIG and heavy and has been "destruction tested" before ever being placed in a dark park patrolled more by vagrants than cops.
