MBJK, JKLO99, and Greyhound101— read my 11:21 AM post again. Carefully. Notice that I was speaking about many young, risk-taking bikers in general — not your friend, Jeremy, in particular. My only reference to Jeremy (by all counts an honorable man) is in the final sentence, an expression of sympathy to his family. And any other family unfortunate enough to be faced with a loss like his in the future.

Arkansas used to have a 250cc limitation for riders under the age of 16, but I don't know of any other limitations for engine size or if they even still do that now...and I've had two 250cc sportbikes that were able to exceed 100 mph while having other 500cc & 650cc bikes (both cruisers) that could barely hit 80. A Suzuki G60 is a cruiser style bike that doesn't lend itself very well to sportbike style riding so it seems to me that maybe he just didn't see the curve.

Bumper-to-bumper traffic, but here comes the G60 or whatever. At extremely high speeds. zzzzzZING! zzzzzzzzzZANG! Zing, Zang, Zing, weaving in and out of traffic, taking all kinds of chances, and scaring hell out of everybody else in the process.

Sooner or later comes the Arkansas State Trooper to the family’s front door with the terrible news. And nothing will ever be the same.
