You know Sushi Cafe is our favorite primarily because Alex always takes good care of us at the sushi bar. I, too, love tuna as raw as I can get it:). This is the only place where I can get tuna that still has flavor😀. The next time you are in ask Alex to fix his special salad. It's not on the menu. We have never had service issues at SC so I can't speak to that. Okay. Now I'm hungry:)

To be honest, I've only ordered of the non-sushi menu once at Sushi Cafe. This is the first sushi restaurant I went to when I moved to Little Rock and it is my go-to sushi restaurant currently. I agree- the service can be hit or miss (to the point where it is factored into the decision to go) but we often sit at the sushi bar and the chefs take good care of us. We find that during the week is much more enjoyable of an experience. One reason that we opt for Sushi Cafe (even with the service issues) is their wine list. other places can't match up in that department.

The only "regular menu" item I've ordered was the grilled yellowtail cheek. The fish collar was a bit tricky to eat (involved two hands for sure) but was worth the work. Companions have ordered the burgers and green curry, both of which taste great. And be sure to get the wok fired edamame. I've figured out to make it at home now so it holds me over in between visits.
