<![CDATA[Why does the phrase "separate but equal" always translate into "separate and unequal"? How interesting that someone representing the Walton and their charter school movement to destroy the public school system actually admitted that the charters aren't doing what they said they would do. Why isn't every charter REQUIRED to have a proportional share of the special ed student population of the district they are shoe-horning into. Why can a charter school get to select and/or kick-out those who don't meet THEIR defionition as a good (read as "workable" student) and send them back into the public school system. Why are they allowed (illegal but unprovable) to "recruit" athletes? Why aren't they held accountable and closed down when they are shown to notbe meeting the requirements THEY specified in their original charter? So many questions about the privilege schools that are, in too many cases, becoming the private schools that those in power can control and assure that their precious kids don't have to associate with anyone not like them. How Republican!
