Coolbreeze get real, they were thinking of two for the job but are very satisfied where they are. With that being said, I think that the selection is solid. No he isn't flashy but he, for all intents, and purposes is a straight forward, hard working, blue collar type guy. In the seven years at Wisconsin there was never even a whiff of anything wrong and to me that's a good sign for a football coach in this day and age. We don't have to worry about him giving bike rides to younger womenewither becauise his wife is young LOL! I wish all the sucess he can generate.

      Beau,

The rub is in your last sentence. It will not go boom or bust. For the record, I wish it would go Boom (although there is not a chance in hell).

Unfortunately, it will not go Bust either.

It will go mediocre and will so for a long time.

And will people shut the f up about resumes. Talent is talent. Chizik has a NC on his resume, does that explain why hiring his assistant was a far better move for Auburn?

Les Miles may retire as one of the winningest coaches in history does that tell the whole story?

And Mike Sherman brought a a great resume to A&M, how did that go?

Once A&M realized their mistake they hired an unproven up-start and smart coach in Kevin Sumlin. Ole Miss hired a resume in Houston Nutt, realized the mistake and hired a smart young up-start.

Both of those programs flew past us last year.

We left Charlie Strong and a host of others on the table to hire...

A resume. One that is shaky at best, inheriting a juggernaut program, riding rampant through the crumbling ruins of a once decent conference, never winning a big game, not an ounce of class or intelligence in that human...

but boy he's got a resume...

like Rich Rodriguez or Charlie Weiss or Mike Sherman or HDN or danny ford

Kill me now. Program is dead as a gd door nail.

      Its not a solid hire.

Its beyond horrible. There is a reason he wanted out and Wisconsin was not sad to see him go.

And could we stop the Bobby Petrino comparisons? Bobby Petrino was smart and a brilliant offensive mind. This neanderthal is neither.

Jeff Long wanted a guy who who would change the style of play at Arkansas and that why this mongoloid appealed to him? Are you kidding me? Jeff Long totally f'ing up the interim decision and going with the beyond ignorant JLS as head coach is the only thing that needed changing.

I was just happy with the offensive minded football that led us to a Sugar Bowl and Cotton Bowl victory.

BUT because Jeff Long made a mistake of John L. Smith, he now doubles down on the mistake with a coach Orgeron re-run minus the recruiting so he can change the Culture at Arkansas?!?

We never needed a change in culture just a change in the mistake of John L. Smith

He served us well and no one deserves the Bobby Petrino fiasco but this is the end of Jeff Long. Unfortunately the 7-win ground and pound we will get from coach bratwurst will take forever to finally get to a critical enough point where we can fire him.

This is beyond disaster. Plane crashing into the mountain bad.

      I think it's a very solid hire.

Wisconsin in the Big10 is very similar to Arkansas in the SEC.

He's done a great job there in a place that plays second fiddle to the big boys and doesn't have a lot of in-state talent to work with. He's a solid developer of talent and gets the most our of the talent he does have.
