CRR, I can't 'like' your post for the simple reason I believe failure to agree on a budget compromise will damage U.S. creditworthiness for a number of years to come and cost taxpayers untold billions in higher interest on the national debt.

That said, it's clear as day to me that ReTHUGliconS have to accept reality that tax rates for the wealthiest Americans are going up in January whether they like it or not. I do believe Obama will stand firm this time, unlike two years ago, and let the Bush tax cuts expire, all of them if he must, to send a message to THUGS that the time has come to start dealing with our nation's fiscal problems. Do THUGS really want to tell the 98% they are standing in the way of extending current tax rates beyond January 1?

But that can't be, I like whores, some of my best friends are, well you know. You know what you're getting up front. I don't feel like you know what your getting with Tim. If he really believes what he says, why doesn't he want to vote on it and record forever his stand? Sign the discharge and vote guys, lets see if you have a pair, are they the size of turnips or turnip seeds?

Quid, it is the bribery of large amounts of dollars falling into their campaign accounts and the promise of good jobs, far exceeding their abilities, when they leave. The technical word to describe our Republican senator and representatives is found in the doctionary under "whore".

Let's go off the cliff. It's the only path to rational taxation.

As far as the cuts go, it will help reconcile the hypocrisy of the people of this state, who hate the federal government while gladly taking more money from it than they pay in taxes.

It is sad that children will suffer, but they're suffering now more than they would in just about any other developed country. Perhaps it will motivate our citizens to begin paying for an adequate education ourselves without looking to other states to help us.
