Arkansas, oh, Arkansas. Atop the news again.

It's 2012 and "former Arkansas Governor and current Fox News windbag," morbidly obese diabetic, right wing shill, Christianist bigot and celebrity wannabe Mike Huckabee blames Sandy Hook tragedy on "abortion pills," iPhones and homosexuals.

Right now, atop Salon's home page.

Another factoid in the stream, sure to sink into the "Arkansas" hard drive folder of the best and brightest minds considering moving to The Natural State, leasing space in that Tech Park and revitalizing Main Street there in The Rock.
Only YOU can perpetuate or prevent 48th place.
The GOP is the Trifecta Entertainment of politics: "Where Yesterday Goes to Die."

"Why would the Kochs or national Republicans waste any money in Arkansas?"

Because if you are reassembling the confederacy, Arkansas is critical.

Or maybe they just want to stop the federal government from subsidizing us to the tune of $1.40 for every $1.00 we pay in federal taxes. If I were about balancing the budget, I'd return to the states $1.00 for every $1.00 they pay in taxes, rather than redistributing wealth from Taxachusetts, etc to here.

The Kochs are gonna have to spend some serious $$ if they think they have a chance beating Bill Halter for the governorship. Halter is their worst nightmare. He's the worker's friend and will be the first pro-labor governor since, well, a helluva long time.

I'm confident Dustin McDaniel won't be the nominee and it'll be Halter this illegal out of state money will flow against. How am I so confident? Let's just say that in 1967 Jeffereson Airplane said to "ask Alice." I'd say if someone was to chase rabbits today, they might "ask Andi (Davis)."

I'm glad to see Halter as our likely nominee. With this crap in Michigan, I know we'll have a strong voice for labor on the ballot.
