While aesthetically pleasing for a short time when viewing from the warmth of a home, snow can be a nightmare in real life. Sagging tree limbs shorting power lines. Idiots in SUVs inadvertently playing chicken on the roads.

I'm sure that all of the people who have to work on the long holiday weekend - truck drivers, medical personnel, police, fire, and the clerks who have to brave the hordes of shoppers - are pleased with having to slip-slide to and from work.

It's bad enough that the Scrooges of the world run Congress and the state ledge. Now we have even more deluded people wanting snow, just to fulfill the lyrics of a stupid song.

I say - "Bah Humbuggery!" (humbuggery - [v.] what Santa and the elves do in the off-season)

However, National Weather Service says for Dec 25:

"A chance of rain and snow before noon, then a chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 33. North wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
