As for contacting Arkansas Representatives...you have to live IN THEIR DISTRICT (can you believe it) before you can email them:
http://crawford.house.gov/contact/
http://womack.house.gov/contact/
Both have messages that I can't even EMAIL them if I don't live within their district...I mean they won't even let you get to the contact/email page to send along a message.
As for contacting Lame Duck Mike Ross...he's done...finished...outta there:
http://mikeross.house.gov/
Ross has a pop-up message that he's outta there...contact Future Rep. Cotton. Wonder if Ross is still on the payroll? At any rate...guess he's done, gone, finished.
Kind of a poke in the eye...no wonder congress can't agree on anything...two of them won't even deign to accept an email from the home state folk unless your zipcode is in their specific district...one of them who ought to be finishing strong is referring his contstituents to someone who isn't even in office yet...and I happen to live in the district with the weakest representative of them all (Griffin). We got no effective Arkansas delegation in Congress...we can't even get everybody's ear (well...actually eye...to read an email...if you see what I mean)!
I had no problem sending an email to BOTH Arkansas Senators.

On a brighter note, which we can all use given the events since Christmas Day, I am glad to report that the lights came back on at the Our House shelter for the working homeless on Thursday night. As you may have read in the Demgaz, they lost all of their freezer food for feeding their 120 residents. As the word got out that their freezers were operational a whole host of folks (especially Ben E Keith) brought enough food to them to completely restock what had been lost. Now that's the Spirit of Arkansas!!

Every 1-2 weeks, a picture of Mark Hunt, Entergy rep for Garland, Hot Spring counties, is in the local daily giving $200-$400 to some local group. I would suggest for Entergy to save the money and bury their wires so they and their customers don't have to go through this every 10 years or so. Travel to W. Europe or Asia--all their wires are underground. Why not us?

Join the group on being frustrated about trying to get across to Representatives and Senators about the 'fiscal cliff." I have emailed countless times and posted on facebook too but hardly ever even get noticed. Posted on over 50 facebook pages yesterday and not one response from Senators and Representatives. Here is my latest effort which will be posted again on over 50 facebook pages. It is a letter that was emailed this morning to the White House. Actually I have got over 20 emails and 20 letters back from the White House before the election but none since.
I suspect that Entergy's response time to major outages was harmed by the layoffs in the 1990s. As this Arkansas Business article noted at the time - "The net effect in Pulaski County is 60 fewer Entergy/AP&L employees."
I'm wondering why it took Entergy at least 3.5 days to get more workers here. It was around 5:00 p.m. on Christmas Day when our lights went out, just after we'd finished opening the presents.

On Thursday afternoon, I drove from Little Rock to NE Arkansas without encountering any problems, other than a traffic jam at the north 430-40 and 440-67/167 interchanges. There are no power outages in the NE part of the state, and it looked like Little Rock got substantially more ice and snow. That should have be fairly obvious by noon on the day after Christmas.

As of 8:30 a.m. this morning, Entergy still responds "Confirmed Est Restore Evaluating Cust out" regarding my home in west Little Rock. Neighbors 2 blocks away never lost power at all, and their utility lines are above ground.

Heck of a job, Mackie!
