Of course, fly, all those poor people who worked their asses off for the Stephenses and the Waltons for mediocre pay didn't have a thing to do with the money they made, did they. They did it by themselves, didn't they.

Whether interesting or not, people like Mr. Stephens and Mr. Walton make, or made, this world go round. I want them to get out if bed each day thinking about ways to make money. When they do, a lot more people do. For those of you that do not believe in trickle down economics, go get you a job selling things or working in the construction industry. See what the wealthy folks spending, or lack there if, does to your wallet. Let them make all they can and keep all they can. The only way they can make more is to invest it. When the do, some of us get jobs, some get orders and we all eventually get more money. I hope the folks that work for Viking are not negatively impacted by the government's forcing of a sell by a smart businessman.

Had a lunch with Warren Stephens one time. He seemed pleasant. Spent about 30 minutes with Sam Walton back in the 80's and other than the fact he had the cheapest suit in the room, that time was unremarkable also. Neither seemed outwardly happy nor sad. Must hide their joy or misery pretty well.

I feel sorry for people who's only reason to get out of bed each morning is to make more money. Outside of counting grains of sand on a beach all day, I can't think of anything more boring.

Anyone here on the blog know any members of the Stephens family? Anyone know if any of them are happy? Are any of them interesting to talk to?
