Not to threadjack...but I learned in Paradise Lost that there is DNA evidence which doesn't match any of the WM3 on the laces which were used to tie up on of the victims. Perhaps McDaniel should revisit his support of this considering his refusal to look into that DNA any further, or is he just another political windsock without any firm convictions of his own?

I would suspect, but don't know, that there is a concern that access to all DNA would lead to defenses based on, "there is DNA from 254 people in that hotel room but not a shred of evidence suggesting my client was there. You have to acquit" leading unsophisicated jurors, who often couldn't tell the difference in RNA and NRA to conclusions not based in fact.

But that is certainly an unreasonable approach by any defense attorney, the prosecution will just have to learn to adjust.

DNA is evidence. It's objective. There is no good/valid argument for keeping such evidence out of the hands of the defense. I've come to believe that prosecutors who object to defense access to DNA have no business in a criminal courtroom, and are afraid of the truth. Competent prosecutors are not afraid of the truth. No one should be afraid of the truth. Even when it interferes with their belief system. If the truth is disruptive to your belief system then perhaps it's the belief system that needs questions. Prosecutors have a tendency to believe in their own infallibility as well as having an appetite for power.

When did the crime start? Does DNA constitutionally change over time? Implications for genetic engineering of the human genome? Last Wed evening church discussion showed a video about how to respond to catastrophe killing. The clip was picked up and shared by several Methodist Church Members making its rounds in the Church. The origins of the clip were from a firm in Houston, Texas with the words that are implanted in the clip as "...Bad people..."

Very funny considering it is Dustin M who has sent David Raupp and the rest of his crew out to fight every request for DNA testing by every defendant since he took office. In fact, Dustin seems to not have liked that dna law AR passed several years back. He has behaved unconscienably regarding wrongfully convicted persons. Dustin has played this game like football - no instant replays to review what actually happened....oh wait, even the NFL has instant replays and on spot challenges and reviews now.
