The Constitution in the 2nd amendment includes the words "well regulated", ProCarry, but I guess you never read that part or the part that they were talking about a militia. You don't have to worry, just snuggle up with all your guns in bed and be careful you don't shoot off something that some person might find important.

I bet the NRA comes out soon with their push for anti-tank weaopons and briefcase-sized nuclear weapons. The NRA is just the marketing branch of the arms industry.

I would like their records suppenoed to see just how much they spend on all of their so-called "hunter education" vs how much they spend bribing politicians via cash and their PACs. Also, how much of the money they distribute comes from sources outside the US since they have single-handedly managed to keep a pipeline of weapons for the gun industry flowing through the Carolinas and Georgia by laws keeping the DEA from investigating sales and shipments more than once a year while destroying records. The Congress is an accomplaince to the gun industry in all the deaths in Mexico and southern Texas.

Cotton is only in Arkansas out of necessity. If the political career does not continue - he will be gone. Thankfully - the Conservative Republicans are a dying breed - stick your head up out of the South and you will know it's true. No one wants to take away your guns. We just don't want you to be able to mow down 20 people in less than 30 seconds. Get a grip.

eLwood appears to be anti-career and anti-Ivy League. First liberal ever to take that position. Libs love some overly priced liberal indoctrination education. No, EW prefers a congressman who was too dumb to ever leave Arkansas. Even better, a congressman who fails at everything he does. Screw success!

We now have more gun control than is allowed by the constitution, which any honest person can admit permits military weapons. If you think that's a bad idea just amend the constitution. Quit being a pansy about it and trying to get in the back door, though. No, that wasn't a homophobic comment. I'm super serial (excelsior!). You guys always want to get around the constitution rather than amending it as you should to accomplish your goals.

" When the modern movement to control arms, supported then by the NRA, began in the 1960s in response to the threat of armed insurrection by the Black Panthers in California and the Kennedy and King political assassinations. Dickey and Ross were young men who weren’t studying politics."

The Black Panther episode is one of my favorites from history. Groups of openly armed Panthers had started following police in California. Scared the hell out of a bunch of white people, and when the California legislature started to pass legislation to stop that, a group of armed Panthers marched on the state capitol.

If any of you ever need evidence of progress in race relations, racists are no longer trying really hard to disarm black people.

The boy had moved away to work, not just attend college but for career purposes.
It took a big bag of Club for Growth money to run all those TV ads showing homeboy
Tom with his high school English teacher and high school coach to put him over the top. He hadn't been home in over 10 yrs. Yes, he's a renter.

There should be a noun in between 'the' and 'on.'
