How about let's just ban the sale of handguns AND assault rifles, and require all current gun owners and future rifle purchasers to register their weapons in a federal database, and require all users to obtain an operator's license (which is subject to revocation if the licensee violates the laws!)? Sounds good to me.

yes just ignore the fact that 900,000 children are abused each year by drunks, or that more children are killed in a single DAY by drunk drivers then are hurt by Semi-Auto Rifles in an entire year.

Even with all the DUI Laws out there.

Go ahead and enjoy your high horse, you do soo love your wine and beer more then a toothless redneck loves to play the banjo and shoot his gun.

Here are two simple laws that would save so many marriages, child abuse cases, and murder rates.

1.) Ban the sale of Alcohol after 9pm
2.) Ban the sale of Handguns to people under the age of 25 unless in Military or own a 30 year mortgage.

#1 would save sooo many more lives then #2. But #2 is important as well since 90% of gun crime is committed by handguns used by males under the age of 25.

But don't cry about wanting to protect the children during the day, while enjoying a nice cold beer at Applebees tonight.

Too bad the simpletons use only fake research to push their dogma. The CDC study, was, simply put, bunk. It never even passed the sniff test, as any data cold not be corroberated across the board. If the CDC data were true, we would have far more fatalities than we do. As it is, the mas killing are still rare events, and as some have pointed out, some have been stopped by armed citizens and alert police.

There are those despicable wastes of flesh, like Dianne Feinstein who actually hope and pray and dance when carnage like Newton happens. The NRA had the good sense to avoid make sensation of the situation. Not so the grabbers of guns. Instead of thoughtful review of why these are happening, the fools look at the tools. Never mind that every single one of the shooters had menta issues and had been on some sort of pysch drug. The kind of drugs that loosen inhibitions that would make a kid think twice before stealing dad's gun an shooting up a school. The elephant in the room is the drugs that are handed out so easily by doctors to modify behavior of kids.

But that would be using logic and facts and doing some real thinking about how to get a grip on the problem. That is not what is in vogue, though, and useful tools like Dumbas will regurgitate any fallacious data to make their point while degenerate politicians exploit the tragedy for their own gain.
