Like I said, it's a big country. If something has a 1 in a million chance of happening to a person every day, it will happen to nearly 115 thousand people in a year in the US.

It was great to see New York through the eyes of Europeans. Stepping off of the curb with traffic coming on the "opposite" side was a bit of an adjustment, but they got the hang of it. The NYC cab drivers lived up to their reputation and terrified our friends each and every trip.

They loved the restaurants and theaters, the tall buildings, the excitement of the city, the diverse population, the shopping, seeing Times Square and Rockefeller Center at night......but I am told that all of that was a blur compared to getting to walk out on the field at Yankee Stadium.

Going is fun.....but coming back home is even better.

"On Thursday afternoon, CNN showed footage of Vice President Joe Biden meeting with gun rights groups and talking to reporters about his ongoing efforts to curb gun violence in the United States. Biden said that he would present his recommendations to the president on Tuesday.
But before Biden could finish his presentation, CNN cut into his remarks to report on another school shooting. This morning, “at least two people were shot at Taft High School” in California at 9:00AM and the shooter has reportedly been taken into custody.
