The is a thing I don't understand about women being "too emotional" for combat: Isn't that the whole premise behind not leaving a fallen soldier behind or disobeying an order --isn't putting one self In harms way to save someone else a display of emotions?

It is packaged as honor and acts of heroism --the stuff they give medals for. Oh, the mixed messages and confusion. When a woman does it it's called "emotion". For Men they call it code, honor, heroism.

Let's simplify it: when Tom Cotton speaks, it's bullshit.

Bluefriction, The question is not whether we should bring our spending into line. The question is WHEN to do it.

Too many people have no jobs and no money. Democrats have proven to be good stewards of the economy---see Clinton.

Also, please read that report from the IMF's chief economist, Blanchard, and he will explain how austerity has made the European situation worse. I linked a few days ago and eL did again today in this thread.

There will be a time for austerity and paying down the debt---just not yet. We were there in 2000 and then Repubs got a hold of the purse strings.
