Poor, racist child, why is it your fantasy to see blacks murdered in hordes? You always fall back on race, since you have nothing rational to offer. You just babble about this supposed race war. Your the ONLY one to mention blacks being killed. Why is it such a fixation for you? Have you only recently burned your white hood and KKK card?
Someone didn't have any trouble with using an AR for home defense. Have you even handled an AR, Zat? Have you really read these 'legions' of experts about the AR? Maybe your getting them mixed up with other long guns, like an M1 Garand, or an M1A, which really are pretty poor for home defense.
How many ARs do you see being handled by LAPD SWAT as they enter the home to rescue a hostage? Poor choice for home? These experts beg to differ.
Your talent with quotes hides your ignorance with firearms, Zat.

Gun nuttery in action, right here. The second amendment is not about masturbatory fantasies involving fending off hordes of black people with an AR or AK.
And the only government we need to overthrow is the NRA; it's a small minority holding the rest of us hostage with its money and members who are armed to the teeth, telling us dead children are simply the price of freedom. If the members were Islamic, Fox would be pushing Obama to kill, deport or imprison every one of them.

Not preferable, but recommended if it can be easily handled by someone who has trouble with auto loading pistols. Karen has trouble with cycling the slide. She does have a revolver, an old police issue .357, but she still has trouble with the trigger. An AR15 carbine is easy for her to load and handle and shoot accurately.

It is pure ignorance, again for some schlub to say it isn't recommended. If it can be handled, it is the preference to being unarmed. As for worries about over-penetration, Winchester makes an excellent home defense cartridge in .223. Its bullet is designed for home defense, so I got a box for her gun so she would have the best to defend herself and her son.

Happy to educate you, Zat, and relieve you of your ignorance.

Really, DBI, and AR15 two of the most powerful killing machines in the world? You just answered eLwood's question to Gylippus. Here you have someone who has this whole long post about how is otherwise smart friends now have an AR, as if smart people wouldn't own an AR, or and AK. Then to state that it is one of the most powerful killing machines, that, kids, is profound stupidity.

I don't have fantasies or nightmares. Too mush life in between those. Now I have reached the stage where I sleep soundly. I am amused by folks like DBI who have their own fantastical lives where they believe they have exemplary knowledge, and somehow they are better because they chose to be victims, as opposed to some of their friends who chose to not be victims.

Just to educate the ignorant so he doesn't make further statements of stupidity, the AR is NOT "most powerful killing machines known to mankind". The 5.56 is a 50 to 60 grain cartridge. It does zip out at about 3000 feet per second. The problem is the light weight of the bullet. While it does have a lot of kinetic energy the light weight of the bullet makes it prone to being deflected by of the objects, such as glass, drywall and even twigs on trees. You want something truly powerful, you have the M60, which fires a 168grain bullet at about 2800 fps and can turn a cow into hamburger with a good 4 second burst of automatic fire. The round fired by an AR is good for hunting critters no bigger than deer or coyotes. Anything bigger and the AR round just doesn't have the penetration to do the job. It is viable as home defense, as illustrated by the guy in Arizona who defended his home from home invasion by four armed guys in a car. I gave one to my fiance as it is about the ONLY type she can hold. It doesn't have a lot of recoil, and it is light enough for her small stature.

The army possesses far more powerful killing machines, the AR being pretty far down as far as lethality and the ability to shower the landscape with lead. There are M2 machine guns, which are belted for long duration of fire, and throw a 650grain bullet out to two miles. The gun that fires that is heavy, and can only be used from a mount on a vehicle, but it is FAR more powerful than the AR.

Thing is, as DBI's errant babbles about cause, he also fails to neglect the kids doing all of these killing were all on some sort of psyche meds. Maybe it would be time to take a serious look at how kids are being medicated by parents and doctors. But that would be too much like looking at solution, as opposed to claiming intellectual prowess while only responding with emotional babble. Easier said to go after the tool, than to think hard about what might be causing some of this carnage.

I'm just trying to have a nice life here with fairly low expectations and no desire for the high life or a condo in Dubai. But our national craziness keeps following me around while I am trying to just have a pleasant time till the undertaker comes.

Last night I'm having a wonderful time in my bar of choice with my favorite Republican no-info voting long time friends.....we do not talk about politics ever in order to keep having a wonderful time together. Actually if there was another Democrat in the bar I didn't spot them.

So in comes my favorite couple from the 80s. I talked about them a month or so ago on the blog. Before they were forced to move because of their jobs this couple was mag and I's favorite couple on earth....we did everything together. They moved back a couple of years ago and I am thrilled whenever I see them....I just love em to death.

But while they were gone for about 18 years they've changed. When we were running around we never discussed politics.....didn't even think of it, we wanted fun fun fun and never in our history has politics ever been fun. So...since they started coming down to the bar, before the night is over, he has to bring up politics and I try very hard to be very very light about it....I want to have fun fun fun, ya know. But he very nicely has told me that Obama is a commie or fill in the blank. He told me very nicely that Mitt Romney was going to win by a landslide and then America would be great again. And in all this very polite political discussion I can hear the code words used by Fox News & Hate Radio....they drip out of his mouth right and left verbatim.

So last night they arrive with their friends and everyone is real busy talking and having fun. We talked and hugged and he just had HAD to tell me that he and his wife were going to the farm today to shoot their AR15s while they still could. I just patted on him and said Have a ball! But I was in shock....shock I tell ya! In all these years I never knew this couple owned a gun and the last thing I would have ever guessed is that they have some AR15s in their house. Just imagine Rob and Laura Petrie packing super serous assault rifles! My friends aren't rednecks. They don't hunt or fish as far as I know. They're great parents who show up every time the Catholic Church throws a spaghetti supper.

We've been to their very nice house in their very nice neighborhood overlooking Fort Baptist. I didn't see no commies or black people lurking in their manicured bushes. If they have a black neighbor he's a surgeon or CEO. There's nothing about their lives that should make them paranoid. They're well off, healthy, well liked, attractive....and own at least 2 of the most powerful killing machines known to mankind. And apparently see Obama coming after them. Jesus!

So continue to fear crazy people like this tattooed simpleton above but also add to that list nice looking non-redneck white couples who live in the best neighborhoods in the land. What's in their water????

Actually I believe I know what's happened to my dear friends. His job causes him to drive all over 3 states, at least 3....and he spends many hours per week driving down the highway alone. From what he's said I know he spends the majority of that time listening to Hate Radio. Now he's a smart guy, but I'm betting if a smart guy or gal spent 20 hours per week trapped in a car with a radio blasting hate and fear....it would turn you. I used to listen to Rush Limbaugh back in the 90s for fun and it was fun until I figured out I was starting to feel a lot of stress and more annoyance towards the people around me and feelings of unhappiness for no real reason. I quit Rush and felt better in a week.....and this happened to me....me knowing everything Rush said was bullshit.

We need to be more careful with ourselves. I don't think video games or TV caused the 62 mass murders the US has experienced since 1982. But I can believe the crap that passes for TV today has caused us to have shorter attention spans, made everything about our lives be about WINNING no matter what it takes and has jiggled our emotional wellbeing to the degree that we're all on edge 24-7. Go rock for an hour on your front porch...bet you can't do it.....I can't and it makes me worry. But it doesn't make me want an AR15 with a hundred round clip.

Must be something wrong with me. I've never had a wet dream or a fantasy about a gun......

Can the NRA be far behind in putting this Yeager twit in charge of their Homeland Armed Volunteer in Every School program?

Has anyone see news of ReTHUGliconS volunteering to pay more in taxes to fund the NRA's loopy idea? I didn't think so. If the next shooter, someone like this guy Yeager, takes out children waiting at a bus stop, will the NRA propose we have an armed volunteer at every bus stop in the country in addition to schools? Or if the next Yeager type picks a day care, will the NRA plan embrace all those facilities as well? Where will it end? When every building in America has one or more armed volunteers waiting behind a wall of sandbags to take out the bad guy?

The just over 1% of Americans who are NRA members are indeed holding the 99% hostage on this issue.
I say deport that Lapierre guy back to France where he belongs.
