Trust me, DBI: living in heaven here and now is no fantasy.

Nor does it depend on anybody else or what's going on in the world around you.

Even in times of wars and poverty there are those who live and emerge unscathed, even improved and stronger.

Even in times of panic and despair there are those who are calm and secure.

Even surrounded by madness there are those still centered in crystal clarity.

There are millions of two-bit charlatans, Popes and Huckabees selling millions of excuses and lies for why you "can't" live in heaven until you die, no matter how hard you try to obey their "rules" or tithe to their upkeep.

They're about as far from the Truth as human beings get.

Trust me.

Better yet, trust yourself.

"Know thyself" is far more ancient than ancient Greece. It's the oldest insight humanity knows, predating even Luxor.

You can only live it always starting right here, right now. Moment to moment there is nowhere and nothing else you can possibly be.

Good luck!

I ask forgiveness for double posting.

Not bad for a fatherless boy from the poorest little town I've ever set foot in. Thanks for the link! I've not had the chance to watch Gov. Beebe speak at length, he does a good job. At times in his speech I detected a little of LBJ's speaking style, the kind of speech old Lyndon made when he really really wanted something....like his War on Poverty which got ruined by his War on North Vietnam.

I thank the Arkansas Republicans for being polite enough to clap in the appropriate places in Beebe's speech. It helps me forget for a moment that some of them are batshit crazy. I hope all Arkansas state legislators will keep an eye on Congress who art in DC so they might learn how not to act. Our state is too small to survive bad governing. All through this Great Recession Arkansas has done well mostly thanks to our ancient 1866 state constitution that doesn't allow us to spend more than we take in. May it forever stay in place to protect us from both political parties.

I want equal rights, good jobs, a clean and safe environment, good affordable health care, greater opportunities for our children to get a college education, more honest government, safer streets and plenty of food for not only my family but for Saline's family, even for Steven E...for everyone I don't know or care about and those not born yet. I don't know a single person I hope will suffer. I dislike no one enough to wish them to be 2nd class citizens.

If there was a pill to remove greed, racism, bigotry, misogyny, partisan political agendas, gun nuttery and religious zealotry from our governing bodies we wouldn't have to die to get to heaven, we'd be living it here and now. Of course that's a fantasy, but we should all make it our goal in life.
