Oh my, you just made Eureka's pint about bitterly partisan idiocy. Heaven forbid that two people from differing political stripes might agree on an issue. Better to create a split of left and right where nobody has any common ground. You have the nerve to talk about the OP being violent, and child has the idiocy to call NRA members terrorists, and here you are saying we should never agree on some points.

You, sir, are calling for a revolution that nobody on the GOP side wishes.
Your a vile, helpless creature, DBI.

The kid is twelve years old, have some god damn respect. I highly doubt any of you could have put your words together like he has, when you were that age. The point is the American people deserve to be protected, we shouldn't give up our rights to have firearms. You think there's a lot of killing now? Take our guns away and see how it goes, everyone unprotected, and only the lunatics managed to hold on to their weapons. Good call, you should all remove your head from your asses and come to realization. Gun control shouldn't even be part of political discussion, it's an amendment to all Americans to bear arms. How about we talk about real worthy topics like how the U.S. Debt ceiling will be reached in less than a month? That sounds a bit more important. A gun doesn't create a maniac, they've created themselves. Next well have to outlaw knives because some deranged asshole is going around stabbing people.

Eureka's main virtue is consistency. Unlike many of the shrill libs here, ES has a very sharp focus on beliefs. While I am diametrically opposed to what ES stands for, I can admire the purity of thought. There is no hypocrisy, and there is an acknowledgement of the failings within the Dems, which he probably supports more than he refutes.

Fact of the matter is, in many things, ES is absolutely correct. ES is no sheep, inlike others, like the racist child, or the perennial victim DBI.
Funny watching supposed libs attacking a real lib.

Olphart…this hoax letter from a disrespectful child clinging to his guns is disturbing.

I live in a rural low-income area, yet somehow the people here manage to find their way to the local grocery stores, Walmart, food banks, church food pantries, etc. Many people hunt, yet I doubt someone would starve if they didn’t own a gun. I find it insulting to low income people everywhere to make that correlation. It cost money to hunt.....nothing free about that.

How could Sen. Irvin not know, or teach her child, that even the President’s own staff address him as “Mr. President”. It isn’t very funny that her son chose to do otherwise.

Hmmm, that's a tough one. Probably, the best course of action would be to hold on to my wallet with one hand and hit you over the head with a tire tool with the other. An Open Letter To Eureka Springs

"Background checks are just another bulls-eye entry in your disposition matrix coordinates."

Eureka, I've been beating my head against the wall during the last couple of days trying to make some sense out of your political views. I'm trying to decide if you're into some serious meth or delusional by other means. That's unkind and unfair of me because there is the real possibility that you're just a lot smarter than me. Either way, the basic question today distills down to this: Eureka, WHAT THE F**K ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!!

Maybe a glossary of terms would help.

"Disposition matrix coordinates" I googled this term and there wasn't one definitive answer but your usage indicates that it's a computer term for the targeting of the enemy used in the design of computer games. I'm thinking that you're referring to the usage of drone/Hellfire missile systems against combatants in Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc by the U.S. military, among other things. I DO know you use this impressive-sounding term a lot and in different contexts (as in the quotation above) Help me out here.

"The Elites" I know, in general, what this term means but I'm not sure how YOU mean it. Who are the elites, Eureka? I can tell that Obama must be one of them, maybe the most elite of the elite. Who comprises the elite? Individual names aren't necessary but, perhaps, you could give me some categories using political, economic or social terminology. Be more specific than "They" or "Them".

Actually, if you'd just define those two terms for me, in the way that you intend for them to be understood, it would help a lot.

You sound like you're intensely idealistic. What school of political thought do you subscribe to? It seems like that you're ruling out any improvement in the human race unless somebody can snap their finger and, instantly, change some 40,000 years-worth of human evolution/nature. That ain't gonna happen. As for me, I hope that some positive changes can occur, incrementally, but if you insist that ALL human aggression disappears overnight or NOTHING happens, then you're, effectively, just a garden-variety anarchist.

      Dear Sen. Irvin:

Congratulations for once again, perpetuating the stereotype that Arkansans are ignorant redneck uneducated hillbillies!

What parent doesn’t teach his/her children that you never ever call an adult by their first name without permission? Does your child come to the capitol and call your fellow legislators by their first name? If so, I know a few elected officials there who would be glad to teach him some manners.

How can your son and the people of your community afford the guns, ammo, gear, license, 4-wheelers, etc. necessary to go hunting yet not be able to afford to go to the grocery store? Don’t you feel that money might be better spent on actual food than on toys to be used for the possibility (not guarantee) of killing something?

If your family is so hard up that you have to send your child into the woods to put food on your table, I have an offer for you. I will gladly feed your child for as long as he tells me he is hungry and I only have two conditions. First, that you, or someone nearby, teach that child some manners. And secondly, you, or someone nearby, explain to this child that there are serious repercussion for lying.

I am hoping someone with the State will see your son’s letter and send a representative to your community to investigate the dire hunger/poverty situation that very few of us were aware existed. This may also come as a surprise to the local food vendors and grocery stores.

      Master Irwin:

Thank you for sharing your concerns on my recent proposals to stem firearm violence. Hunting for sport and nourishment are long recognized traditions of America and my proposals will do nothing to change that. As a state senator, I am sure your mother can direct you to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission which promotes hunting in your state, provides hunter education, and manages wildlife habitat for the benefit of all Arkansans. Be sure to get your hunter education card when you turn 16!

Hunger continues to be a problem across America. Public, private, and religious agencies provide a number of ways to supplement food budgets. A good person to talk to if you are hungry is a teacher or school counselor. You may be eligible for programs that provide free or reduced priced food at your school. Your parents may also consider contacting the Arkansas Department of Human Services about programs they offer.

This is a critical time in American history and it my goal that we find ways to promote responsible gun ownership and use while addressing the problems that occur in their absence.

Sincerely,

Barack

Hard - you prove the point that the majority of Liberals are indeed sheeple. Group think must be your guiding philosophy.

Lets say your car broke down out in the middle of nowhere and the only person who stopped was a card carrying Republican. I honestly think that you would: 1. Ask what their political affiliation is as they walked up to you and 2. Once you found out that it was Republican you would tell that person to take a hike and kick their car as they drove off. Is this accurate or do I exaggerate?
