The religious bully creeps who have been overbearing for years and years are disgusting. Their overeaching has been so repugnant that as a reaction, we now have atheist bully creeps with the Free Thinkers.

Yall all need to forsake religiosity and atheism and consider becoming human beings. You both have made fools enough out of yourselves and you both have proved to be mean spirited a**holes.

CBB, it is presumptious of me, a newcomer, to offer a criticism of someone who normally walks the true path. But yet, I have the gall to ask you this: HAVE YOU LOST YOUR EVERLOVIN' MIND?!

MORE Christians in school is no better an idea than that of more guns in school. Yes, you've moved the mixture more to the liberal side, that's true, but even if you threw a herd of Unitarians into the pot, you'd still have the tidy little problem of it being unconstitutional. No Quakers either.

Surely they could sue under a violation of the separation of church & state clauses in the Constitution.

TX - The evangelical right like the republican right = redundant. And they are slowly phasing themselves out. Both of them. The real war on christianity is going on within the confines of their churches wherein they have manipulated the word of god to fit the particulars that they would like to impose on the rest of us. What they really want is a return to the days when the WASP majority ruled because it was a majority and the rest of all of us knew out place.

I like wearing pants and speaking my mind. I watch from afar as one of my extended family members escapes the confines of her pentecostal upbringing, posting facebook picture of herself in jeans and makeup.

I've heard that there are folks unhappy with the Conway superintendent - a dedicated disciple of christ who would like to covert everyone - because he's smart enough to know that the current pizza party practice won't fly, which is prolly why he brought in Liberty Institute.

Being an unwashed atheist, reading the article and comments, the thought jumps to mind that it is no wonder there is a decrease in the number of folks who say they belong to organized religion and increase in those who claim no religious affiliation; my group so to speak. The evangelical right like the republican right does not understand the words "moderation" and "tolerance". Until they realize that and began to adhere to those two beliefs; it will still just be what it is.

Just to throw in my 2 cents... What the hell is CPS thinking letting this right wing religious mouthpiece speak for it!?! To Arms Conway Parents! The school district knows the rules regarding religion in school. My first and only concern is I thought only family could sign in and visit students on campus. Since when can any adult waltz onto campus claiming to be friend of a student and actually be allowed to hang out??? I did an internship at Central High and I logged in every day as a visitor with the express consent of the school and a teacher sponsor. I don't get how this is even allowed.

Do the Conway school board and the LR city board share the same in-house legal advisor? Someone should make a study of the backgrounds of the legal teams advising Arkansas cities and school boards. There are too many of these "ignorance of the law" incidents occurring in Arkansas to be mere coincidences.

I suspect there are more than a few mail-order diplomas and degrees from holy-roller colleges on the walls of taxpayer-paid attorneys' offices in this state. Along with bookshelves with Fred Flintstone science textbooks and Barton "history" books.

I'm glad that some Conwegians have had the gumption to oppose the Vilonia-ization of Conway. They can become the heroes of the next "Footloose" movie.

It strikes me that god sure seems to need a lot of people to fight his battles for him. What happened to the old testament god that made shit happen when and where he wanted, without any human help? Before he created the earth, did he send his lawyers out to smooth over the zoning laws?? Hell no! Did he have to pass a plate or get anyone's bank routing number so he could finance the project?? Again, hell no...he used to perform every manner of godly deeds with no money, no tax breaks, no mega-buildings, no nothing. Am I the only one that thinks about this stuff??

"Christianity needs to be in our schools. This is why our society is so screwed up today. Why can't you liberals get that through your heads. We are a Christian nation. "

Why didn't you ask that question earlier? It's simple. The Church of Satan requires us to oppose you. We're not allowed to get anything through our heads. We're not allowed to think about anything outside the dogma as written in the Holy Satanic Bible much like your group who abhors any thinking as well. Now, I find, that your group is allowed in the Conway schools. We want in, too.

In the future, if you have questions about the behavior of liberals, don't be shy, just ask and the answer will be given. For the answer above, you're welcome!

No, coolbreeze, we have the right to want christianity not to be in our schools. The public ones any way. And again, it's one thing for a religious mentor to bring pizza for lunch with a student he or she already has a relationship with. Bringing way too much pizza and inviting the unwashed to join in the merriment is against the rules.
