I'm a sucker for a fresh start though I try to lower my expectations because humans always act like humans. It would probably help if I quit buying every FDR book I can get my hands on. Maybe if I took down the portraits of FDR & Woodrow Wilson that hang on the wall in front of me, I'd quit expecting so much from politicians always beholden to the rich, rarely ever to us little people.

I'm just thankful today that we're going to miss President Romney's 9 dozens Day One promises. Man, did we dodge a bullet last election day...whew! But here at home we may have shot ourselves by letting our friends & neighbors elect a Republican majority to the Arkansas legislature. A better day for Arkansas might be on hold for the next 2 crazy crazy years, but I'll go back to worrying about that on Tuesday.

Our Arkansas folks should have a great time in DC since the NY Times says today that the Republicans have deserted the joint...but not because they hate Obama...oh no.....that couldn't be the reason, they're just clearing out to make room for nice Democrats from Arkansas and the 3 Democrats from Oklahoma. I can tell from the looks on their faces that Frank & Woody, hanging above me are hopeful that American voters will wake up and clear the Republicans out of Congress in 2014 & 2016......such a lovely thought!

I raise my last cup of coffee for the day to you all....here's to a better 4 years ahead!!!
