All one has to do is look at the increasing profit margins of the large insurers and corporations pushing tort reform to understand they aren't struggling for survival due to lawsuits, as they want us to believe. They are, in fact, thriving.

Every state that has passed serious tort reform has seen insurance rates and price indexes for consumers continue to rise, while profit margins increase for corporations.

Rich people that don't want to be sued against rich people that want to sue.

Although there are more people that don't want to be sued BUT there are more attorneys (that get rich by suing) in the legislature.
