As a Conway native I am not surprised. Disappointed, but not surprised. What I'm curious about, though, is handing the whole thing over to an advocacy group instead of something more akin to a city attorney.

Abstinance-only education programs have been shown to be ineffective and counter-productive in study after study. They are almost exclusively endorsed by the fascists of the religious right.

Religious freedom should include irreligious freedom as well. We should all look forward to having the school district offer access to our patriotic Pantheists and Freethinkers who will be able to explain how foolish it is to believe in anything not based upon, and backed up by science and reason.

Only fools and those brainwashed by the church would believe in the ridiculous and horrific garbage in the bible!

      Wow, where do I start?
As a former Youth Director I recognize the need for our youth to learn about the Bible.

However, I have been disappointed by every single church I have belonged to or visited in the last 25 years in respect to how churches in America have gotten away from the Bible.

I am a firm believer in separation of church/state.
That leaves me with one choice, children must be taught at home, not school.

I realize this is my personal belief so please do not attempt to dissuade me or make your point utilizing my post, make your comment based purely on your thoughts.

BTW- I live in Conway and have children and grandkids in Conway schools.
I hope our school board stops this practice as I do not want them influenced by persons unknown to me.
