Arkansasd played the game to get Catapillar from Illiniois to North Little Rock and that worked so well. And, of course, Whirlpool came to Fort Smith and that worked out so well. Oh, they went to Mexico? There is always someone willing to pay their workers less and forget any environmental or health issues (huh, Walmart!) and sooner or later the investment houses that advise this will find that they can get their staffing from India also and get rid of those expensive lawyer types that make millions. We certainly could out-source the US House to Bangedash and do better than we are doing now and not even worry about the language difference. Cotton could be replaced for $1000 a year and be more intelligent also. And they wouldn't be hogging TV tine.

"Why should one state care if their gain results in another state's loss?"

Because what goes around, comes around and Arkansas has not been a net beneficary of these moves. We pay the "bribes" and they still leave for the next "best offer". New Jersey poached a bunch of New Yourk state businesses after 9-11, not for the business taxes but for the income taxes from high paid Wall Streeters, some of who just got killed in that high speed ferry accident.

The economy doesn't improve by moving 10 positions from A to B. And that "static" in the system shouldn't be confused with real economic growth. It is just the rich and Chamber playing the system, just like they did in running seminars to encourage corporations to move manufacturing overseas.

Technology companies are flocking to states with higher gun densities. A state that enforces the right of employees to carry guns while at work will have zero unemployment.

There is no better way to grow our economy than to rid ourselves of any and all gun regulation and legislation. If my buddy and I want to carry a .50 BMG or an RPG on service calls, not only will our job satisfaction increase, our customers will feel safer. It adds up to economic growth, which in turn creates better schools, highways, libraries and citizens.
