If you plan to book your cells soon, be sure to read the reviews of the Yudok and Hwasong gulag sites. Though the gulags have many guests, they cannot ever match the ever-popular American prisons, which host 1/4th of the world's prisoners. (Cue the "U.S.A.! We're number One!" chant)

Yet another sign of the "end times" i.e. 100% agreement with E.S.

"Quit the religious dogma altogether or equal time for various religious thoughts, I've attended more than a few sunday services where the congregation sang John Lennon's Imagine."

A friend of mine said she loved "Imagine" and said they did sing it at her church, she said it was inspirational. I asked her if she'd ever listened closely to the lyrics and she replied, "no". Not so surprising, I suppose, since most Christians have little idea what is in the Bible.

Came across an interesting piece today about Pets and Medicines.
Some over the counter meds can kill your pooch:

https://www.avma.org/public/PetCare/Pages/…

If your pooch is quick, like our young terriers, they can snatch a pill off the floor before you can bend over and pick it up. Leaving certain pills on nightstands or tables is inviting trouble, esp for young dogs who will chew anything once to see what it's about.

mag tells me she saw a Facebook post a few minutes ago that said they had voted to keep guns off the university campus. My god....I guess so. I can't imagine the bad stuff that would have happened if we'd been allowed to have guns on campus back in the early 70s.

Of course the very odd, very pale brothers who lived down the hall had enough hunting guns in their closets to arm a revolution, but though they were odd, they never seemed dangerous....Brogema, Borgema...something like that. Thanks U of A for not being dangerously stupid on this one!

None of my Hispanic neighbors seem to be celebrating the bi-partisan Senator's breakthrough on immigration reform tonight. I personally don't know why anything has to be tough in order to be fair.....let's have easy and fair and be done with it. I don't see anyone in my area who needs a big dose of tough....life is plenty tough enough for most of us as it is.

In the immortal words of Blazing Saddles, Oh Prairie shit, we'll take the Irish too.

And we are worrying about the Billionaires Boys Club making it easy to mix public school funding and religion? Traditional public schools do that just fine without BBC's help.

They had irate motorists stacked up behind them, cursing, making obscene gestures, etc., road rage in the extreme. They proved their point.

CBB, seems to me that, several years ago, the Highway Department urged us to use both lanes to equalize wear on the roadway. I haven't heard it for a while so I suppose they rescinded that order. Or maybe it was a figment of my imagination?

They are doing anything possible to shove tent thumping, gospel singing, snake handling, and strychnine drinking down Conways student's throats.
Somebody better step up and stop it or Conway's gonna get whipped in a law suit.

Regarding Rick Watkins, the AR Game and Fish Commissioner:
All you've got to do is look at his mug shot taken after his arrest there in Lonoke Co. to see that he was "drunker than Cooter Brown." I still think he was extremely lucky not to be charged with DWI too. He should do the honorable thing and resign, but people with lots of money seem to have problems doing the honorable thing.

A columnist article in the LCD about Conway schools expressed concern that there could actually be priests from the Roman Catholic church (St Joseph's) also taking advantage of the chance to meet the children of members during the lunch break. Since the Conway minister's group excludes members of the liturgical churches (Roman Catholic, Episcopalian, Lutheran), maybe a concerted effort by priests to also visit members of their youth groups at lunch at the high schools will close down this issue quietly and forever.

Actually I-30, once you get to the Kingdom of Texas has signs along the highway saying to stay to the right unless overtaking another vehicle. That actually is the law on a 4-lane road. The inside lane is the passing lane and the outside lane is the driving lane and the lane for on and off ramps. If there are 3 lanes in each directioon, the middle lane is the driving (through)lane, the inside lane is the pasing lane and the outside lane is the lane for those entering or leaving the highway. Of course, the way the roads are designed and the way they are used is far different. People are given the middle finger salute in the inside lane for ONLY driving at the speed limit. If fact, if I remember the law, you can be ticketed for going the speed limit for "impeding traffic" who wants to violate the law.

How about amebding his bill that the fine is $100 for the regular citizen but for state legislators or constitutional officers, the fine is $500 as they should be setting an example.
