Give me a voucher and I'll go hire my own police?

Give me a voucher and I'll go build my own roads?

Give me a voucher and I'll go set up my own teaching hospital and train my own doctors?

Since vouchers don't cover the costs of the above services this model only works for the fabulously wealthy.

Same thing with education.

The big secret in education is the positive correlation between concealed carry and standardized test scores.

We all know that gun deaths decrease as the number of guns in circulation increase, but few know that the same increase in gun density also relates to a positive increase in test scores. The teacher's union has suppressed it.

As one educator, I am but a small grain of sand in the storm that swirls through our educational (and thus political) system what with privitazation, vouchers, charters, choice, standardized testing, etc.

It's no longer about the children. It's all about the Waltons, Bushes, etc. finding ways to privatize all government at every level. Remember when they say we should run government like a business? Yep, and no regulation under that model!

It's only gonna get worse until something snaps with Arkansans.

      Max,

Remember back in 1990 when Tom McRae was running for governor and Hillary interrupted his news conference at the state Capitol? I was there. Her taking over the conference was a sight to behold.

I’d pay $500 (almost a year’s worth of lotto tickets) to the charity of your choice to see you show up at the DoubleTree tomorrow and do the same thing when Sir Walter is at the podium. Would be the best show we Arkies have seen in, well, I can’t remember when!
