That could mean the school chooses first who to admit to their roles.

If kids had taken time off to support their public schools, Hussman's paper would be all over it.

Did you see the news release from the Waltons that ran on page 2 of the ADG, either Sunday or Monday, under the byline "Arkansas Democrat-Gazette," as if it was a staff -written piece. Or maybe it was written by Walter Hussman himself? Not unless the ADG staff is captured to a larger degree than even I suspect it is. Shocking that the editors would display such blatant evidence of their bias, but I should have learned long ago that when you're the only newspaper in town, and in some senses the only paper in the state, you can get away with stuff that wouldn't fly for a moment in states where the media are held accountable.

Don't these rich people have any harmless hobbies to busy themselves with? Why do their "hobbies" always involve telling the little people what is best for them?

Telling the little people what is best for them is only a ruse. Their real agenda is making the uber-rich uberer! It also involves making sure their children only go to school with the right sort and having the rest of us subsidize them with our tax dollars to do so. They can lie to themselves all they want. Many (and the number grows daily) of the little people can see right through the lies.

If they really cared about the little people, they would raise the minimum wage.

Since the corporate motto is competition always brings down prices, I suggest a Democrat (are there any left?) initiate a bill to reduce the state funding for charter and private schools to $1000 a school year and see how fast these profit-mongers find another state to take their fake "education reform" to. Also have their student body reflect the student population in the area they propose to serve, including special ed. Right now they are pulling the "cream" from the public school system, those with parents who can attend meetings and drive them to school, and suggesting that these kids wouldn't have succeeeded without their help when they know that these same kids would have done well in any school system in the country.
