Bell got some awful advice about domain name registration, probably from a sleazy consultant who benefits from the arrangement with the German registrar. But Bell is not alone, several other GOP politicians in Arkansas are using the same registrar. Nor is Bell alone in forgetting to pay his renewal fees, it happened to MikeHuckabee.com and AsaHutchinson.com.

Registrars usually have a policy of charging a lot more to redeem an expired domain name during the grace period. Bell may end up paying a tripled-fee to get "his" "expired" domain name back.
