The cardinal sin isn't believing your own propaganda. The cardinal sin is allowing yourself to be progagandized by your own party and without being aware of it. Democrats don't con conservatives, they con their own people!

Gloat now Gene, for your time is short! You may scoff at my prediction but the support for the so called progressive ideology peaked in 2008 and has been on the wane since then. Obama may have won in 2012 but he won by a slimer majority and if true conservatives had turned out Romney and the Republican party would have received 3 million more votes, enough to win. You're not as far ahead as you think!

All the Republican Party has to do is wait for the coming second great depression to unfold with all of its economic horrors: hyper-unemployment, homelessness, hunger, chaos etc. The US is currently borrowing 46% of its budget, predicting trillion dollar deficits for decades, headed towards a 20 trillion national debt by 2020 with little improvement in unemployment.

Do you ever ask yourself what went wrong when you and the Democrats promised so much? The answer is Keynesian economics which rarely works and when it does the country has some kind of advantage such as Germany's high quality manufactuaring and low corporate tax rate, Scandinavia's oil wealth or China's currency manipulation. All things being equal it's a bust! Just take a look at the Keynesian nations on the perifery of Europe and now France to see our future.

In 2016 Bill Clinton will not be able to stand on a national stage and lie to the American people again that it takes longer than 4 years to recover an economy and that there is a recovery underway! That's an example of a Democrat conning their own people in case anyone of them is interested.
