Based on the murdered Alabama school bus driver and student kidnapped from the bus, the NRA will be demanding armed guards on all school buses. Otherwise the NRA would be for keeping one place school kids congregate- schools- teeming with armed adults (I refuse to call them 'guards') but not other places those same kids congregate- buses, bus stops, McDonald's, Little League games, etc., etc., etc.

If not, the NRA will be like the self-proclaimed 'pro-life' folks who are nothing more than 'forced-birthers'.

Uh, Wayne, you still don't see the common thread in all these school and now school bus shootings, do you?
If the School Security Guard had been armed with a school issue Glock the student probably would have been too scared to report the assault.

Thus, no report=no crime. So lower crime(report) in schools if the guards are armed.

Lord Brown of Russellville rides again. Biggest scumbag in Arkansas higher education by a distance. He's only smart enough to make sure he doesn't pull a Lu and break a big law, he keeps his screwups to civil actions. Of course, the toothless board of trustees at the school seem afraid to let the head administrator go no matter how many time he's gotten the institution sued for various issues. Most of them are his handpicked lackeys anyway that Beebe appoints.

I don't like the argument - well if they are going to be tested shouldn't someone else be tested too. It's a guarantee of more draconian testing. A societal assumption of everyone's guilt, before so much as evidence, accusation, process are allowed. A total abrogation of many of the peoples best protections/rule of law. That's the test we all fail when making those arguments beyond mere jest.

Beck's place sounds like a high tech Colonial Williamsburg. I doubt if the colonists thought their place was "self-sustaining". I'm wondering if Glenn's folks will weave their own cloth and make their own underwear. Surely they will have some trade with the rest of us for salt and coffee (or are they all required to be Mormon like Beck) and herbs and stuff.
