No, it represents business and the rich's control of the legislature for the last 120+ years.

It gave us such great things as not having the first railroad bridge over the Mississippi River at Helena because it would raise local wages and gave Tennessee the bridge at Memphis and how did that turn out, Helena? Helena is still getting over 1861 and Memphis is somewhat larger than Little Rock!

It isn't "Democratic' or "Republican", it is pro-greed and to hell with those who have to pay until 3 months before election time because there aren't enough business owners (not workers) to elect Mark Martin as SoS.

Great follow up post to the Steal/steel proposal below. I love how Max and the D fenders just ignore the fact Dems controlled the State for decades. The existing (chart) regressiveness is entirely a result of Dems in charge and both parties bribed, beholden embrace of neoliberalism.

Yes Republicans are awful neoliberals too.... but the problems/policy which got us here are systemic. Until the so-called left admits this they are just GOP bashing hypocrites at times like this... trickle up wealthfare with regressive taxation will continue unabated.

The Dem led grift for a few rich folks not Tech not Park regressive tax comes to mind as well.

"Arkansas is on the cusp of a Republican-led charge to reshape taxation. Where they don't want to cut taxes, they want to dramatically reduce the burden on wealthy taxpayers". Really? Seems to me, it was Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola who stuck it to the poor last year with that massive sales tax increase. BTW, Mayor Stodola just happens to be a Democrat.
