Why you say are the records kept that way? Because the NRA makes sure a law passed by Congress years ago that keeps this system dysfunctional stays that way.

Pryor, and most Dems know this ban is nothing close to 'sensible'. There are so many things it refuses rto address in its zeal to ban weapons that even hold 8rds.

As for saving one child, maybe, though the consequences will be that a ban, and those that turn their weapons in, or sell them will face becoming victims. Very real consequence of this law costing lives.

Gather of ALL pertinent background data is an excellent idea. Pryor and those seeking truly sensible regs are not afraid of consolidating arrest records and mental health records. What they, and we, oppose are blnaket bans on guns simply because the sheep are scared of scary looking 'assault' rifles.

Time and time again, I find you pandering again and again to the NRA and other Tea Party-led causes. I watched your interview with a local reporter today and I became so angry that I could fill the spew and bile coming back up through my mouth and nostrils.

If you do not wish to govern with integrity and "balls," as DBI noted earlier, please do us a favor and join your fellow Republican lobbyists Mike " Ross and Blanche Lincoln in the private sector.

Maybe ,we just got a little misunderstanding here. Maybe, one day, I will wake up from this Arkansaw congressional delegation nightmare and find out I was just having a bad dream.

I'm just simply opposed to slaughtering kids, guess that's not the stance up on C Street where Mark Pryor hangs with those religious nuts who favor killing gay people in Uganda. Won't matter to Mark Pryor until one of his kids are shot 11 times in a second......and he better not come crying to me about his kids in pieces....I won't listen. I'll be compassion-less John Boozman all over his ass and tell him, suck it up, Pryor, it's just a dead kid!

All around the country....they don't hate Arkansas for our freedom...they hate us because of the assholes we send to Congress....EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM. I want to vote Democratic when Pryor comes up for reelection but if he's not primaried out of the running I might just vote Republican so when bad votes happen, when someone supports a bad bad thing they'll have an (r) behind their name. I don't give a damn about the Democratic Party, I care about right vs wrong. And keeping assault weapons on the street is insane....simply insane.

Ball-less Mark Pryor....wrong on guns, wrong in marriage, wrong on life, reason Number 5938 to be embarrassed to admit your from Arkansas.

Let's face it, Ronald Reagan pleaded with Congress to ban assault weapons. Reagan also gave blanket immunity to immigrants plus he supported tax increases several times.
Obviously, as has been written before, Reagan could not be re elected in today's extremist environment so what makes you think David Pryor or Dale Bumpers would stand a chance?

Let me check the article...

"The bill lists about 150 rifles, shotguns and handgun models currently available that would fall under the ban. It also specifically exempts nearly 2,300 weapons."

So of roughly 2400 firearm types we're removing 6%. Boy do I feel safer!
