Paul Beck, ReTHUGliconS say government ought to be run like a business. Okay, let's analyze this 'investment' in a new steel mill and see if it really is good 'business'.

Since you seem to believe it is a good investment, explain to us in detail how taxpayers will get back every dollar given to these private interests and how We the People will then make a good profit or return on said investment. In detail explain how much money will go out each year and how much money will come back in to state coffers, the annual rate of return, etc. And also prove to us this same money couldn't be 'invested' elsewhere in our economy and produce a better return- improved health for tens of thousands of Arkansans, for example.

We're waiting. Help us see the light!

I'm no big fan of the Koch Bros. and their Tea Party brethren but to call the grants/incentives from the state gov't handouts is just wrong. How about we look it as an investment on our part? Don't you think we are going to re-coup this money, and more? That's not a handout, that's money well-spent.

Teresa Oelke won't have a problem with this double standard. While braying herself about the evils of stimulus money her family business was building schools with funds provided by it. Paul Ryan braying against SS while conveniently not disclosing he himself was the beneficiary of SS survivors benefits after the death of his father. Rapert braying against food stamps while crowing about helping chicken farmers getting tax breaks amounting to $10k per house. Bell tweeting he won't vote for any bill that promotes govt intrusion, regulation , increased bureaucracy etc then supporting drug testing(which drugs?) and vaginal probes which both seem to be intrusive and expensive. Hypocracy thy name is many of the petty AR politicians and operatives.

Goof, there is not an Entergy coal fired power plant in that area. Where was the concern when Plum Point coal plant was built? There was no money locally to get the Sierra Club to fight it as was the case at Turk. They do not care about poor folks, just money. Nice settlement from Turk and did not change a think. Does that sound right. I suggest the legislature, ask for written confirmation from all investors of their commitment of money. It is not there, I think that is what Gov Huckabee did in private and that is when Correnti cussed him out and went back to MS and took what they had offered. He then got the rest of the money from the Russians, who later kicked him out. A handshake does not mean much to him. It will not reduce unemployment in MS County. Those unemployed cannot pass drug test or will work only for whomever they can tell what to do. Called rednecks.
