You folks attacking Max should lay off. Max is not "painting" Jason Rapert anything. He does not need to because Jason Rapert is painting a crystal-clear picture of himself and his agenda. Oh, yes, he is sincere all right---but sincerely wrong in so many ways---but also sincerely smug and hubrisic in having THE truth.

What is there about the small minds of small people? The smaller the mind, the loonier the idea they embrace, the more fervently they clutch it, the crazier they (and their ideas) become. It's better to nip these folks and their ideas in the bud. Don't give them a running start.

I'd probably like Jason Rapert as a person. I'd love his bluegrass music. I'd even like his country gospel and his Holy Ghost preachin' until he (inevitably) elevates himself and his beliefs, just as Lucifer did (a "Luciferic complex", I call it) above the Most High.

How does he do this, you ask? Very simply. By "hearing" from the Lord that which others do not hear. By (thinking he has) a "direct" hotline to the Lord's mind. By being especially "chosen" for a work in politics, usually (and I see it here) with grandiosity. By then arrogantly presuming to impose his special and most "righteous" religious views on the rest of us.

We've seen it before in others far more skillful than Jason Rapert: this toxic brew stewing at the intertwining of religion and politics. It is dangerous whether it is Islamic fundamentalist or well-meaning evangelical Christians with a political agenda that they, in the grandiose legends of themselves in their own minds, confuse with that of God Almighty.

Maybe even God cannot save us from His zealots who do not answer to Him anyway but to the master in the other direction.

After watching the 4 video clips of that lunatic RAPErt, I can think of only three possibilities:

1) he was intentionally 'dumbing down' for his FAUX Propaganda quality audience; those folks are dumber than dogs**t and he was playing to his audience (like fishing- successfully- with dung balls for bait)

2) the man believes himself to be the Messiah; he just doesn't know when to sit down and shut his pie hole

3) he hasn't a clue how government works, the relationship between the federal and state government, and what that document called the "U.S. Constitution" is and what it means

A prediction- sometime in the future we'll see in the news that RAPErt has taken the church crowd for millions of dollars with a Ponzi scheme or gambled away their retirement funds.

Yoohoo, Saline, Ev, I'm receiving death threats for my posts on the blog. Whatever shall I do?

Everyone else is addressing the subject of this thread. Some better than others. I have only one point...As a former state employee, we were brought into a department wide meeting and told that we could and would be fired if we posted anything considered inappropriate on our social media accounts during off hours. That included expressing displeasure with our management. That's why it is hard for me to exercise my right on blogs and social media...Because it was stifled for the last six years.

Rapert is NOT a good Christian man based upon his lies, his actions toward his fellow human beings, and his attitude toward other races and beliefs on this planets.

If Moses were here today, he'd kick Jason in the balls and tell him "Let my people go!" If Jesus came back right afterwards, he would heal Jason on the spot and then kick him in the balls again, saying "Get thee behind me Satan." Mohammed would just laugh in his face and thank him for ruining the reputation of Christianity. Buddha would approach Jason with that stinking probe and say "Let's do unto him what he wants done unto others and see how he appreciates cosmic justice."

Jason is an ugly, a bad, a cretinous, a lying, faux Christian. The sooner he is removed from doing further evil in this world, the better off all of us will be. Conway: do not re-elect this raving asshole again.

For those of you not familiar with him- Kenneth Wallis, on whose website Max linked the 4 Rapert videos, is one of the far right wing nuts who has been frothing at the mouth that central Arkansas's primary drinking water supply, Lake Maumelle, might be protected from over pollution. He's a young 20-something who attends meetings with video cam in hand and thinks his comments, read from a smart phone screen, are 'BREAKING NEWS' important. Let's just say his ego is far bigger than justified based on his public performances.

Blowhard Dave Elswick only mentions the President in the context of how President Obama's $4T in tax cuts over the next four years isn't anywhere near enough to make a difference.

Rapert, on the other hand, goes off the rails with "Moslems" and "Prayer Breakfasts" and "Ramadan" and the rest. As Ramsey pointed out, this was 10 minutes after any discussion of the Arkansas Supreme Court. Rapert was clearly ranting about religious minorities at a rally where no one else was even discussing religion.

THERE is your context.

Amos...as I mentioned on a previous thread, it is hard to blame someone else for the words that come out of your own mouth. And if those words are open-ended and leave room for interpertation, then you can't cry about the way they are interperted.

Here he is grossly misconstruing a Thomas Jefferson quote: http://youtu.be/qDVJbBZ-G_8

Rapert quotes only, "I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep for ever," and goes on to suggest that Jefferson didn't support a separation of church and state, and that any such separation is not grounded in "laws" like the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution. (That the Declaration was not a "law" does not seem to slow Rapert's rant down as uses the remainder of the spoken part of the clip to rail about the evils of abortion and how abortion makes him "tremble" for his country. Because he's just like Thomas Jefferson!)

In reality, the quote from Jefferson comes from the 1781 Notes on the State of Virginia, Query XVIII: Manners, in which Jefferson, suggesting that slavery might ultimately lead to the downfall of the U.S., wrote: "Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep for ever: that considering numbers, nature and natural means only, a revolution of the wheel of fortune, an exchange of situation, is among possible events: that it may become probable by supernatural interference!" Jefferson spent the entire passage talking about the inherent evils and flaws of slavery; it had nothing to do with church-state separation. http://teachingamericanhistory.org/library…

If you knew me, you would know I am about as far from "sheep" as it gets and you are one of the few people who have ever accused me of following the crowd. I form my own opinions on all matters. Just ask my husband!

News is on in our home about 12 hours a day, we have 5 computers, 3 i-phones with multiple news apps plus a "breaking news" alert, 3 vehicles with satellite radios programed to news stations, we subscribe to 5 magazines and one daily national newspaper..... so I don't think I am quite as uninformed as you might insinuate.

I have watched this video multiple times and I come to the same conclusion each time.

You and I disagree on this matter. No need to make it personal.

Saline, maybe you need to get your ears candled. OR SOMETHING!

Maybe you need some minority folks to tout besides certified lunatics like Herman Cain and Allan West. They don't give you tolerance cred. They prove that crazy people are welcome in your party and considered heroes. I don't know enough about Tim Scott to judge. I will say a black republican from South Carolina sets lots of bells ringing.

Romney lost the women's vote by 16%. He lost the black vote by 89%. He lost the Hispanic vote by 47%.

Your national leaders have smelled the coffee and are trying to find a way to get you, Rapert, and others like the two of you to put a sock in it.

As I was watching Rapert’s now infamous “pander to the white folks” rant again today on the KTHV noon news, it occurred to me that he looked very comfortable and well-rehearsed with these words, which probably means this is not an isolated situation.
