      <![CDATA[I have no excuse for not going to the Hillcrest Farmers Market more often; it's not even a 4 minute drive from my house.<br>

I ran into both Sammy and Mr. Joel DiPippa at HAM Saturday, and I just assumed it was because we were all possessed of impeccable taste. Read today's post about the savory pie I ate to see what glorious things they're doing there in Hillcrest.

      <![CDATA[I went to Montego recently and liked the decor, service was good, and food was pretty good.  I had jerk chicken that was tender with a pretty spicy kick to it without the rasta added.  I had grilled veggies and cabbage as sides.  The cabbage was great and well veggies were grilled veggies.  The plate overall could have come out hotter temp wise though.  The other folks seemed happy with their plates- one had an interesting burger with fried egg, avocado, etc on jalapeno bun.  She seemed to really like it.  Two folks loved their mango mojito.  I would go back and there is a groupon that just popped up -fyi.

@Big Fun, they are only at the Hillcrest Farmers Market on Saturdays from 8 am til noon. You really gotta get there early, though, or they will be picked over. I've written a few stories on them if you dig through our archives.

      <![CDATA[Daniel, I also got that PB&J macaron and was blown away by how delicious it was.  I then ran into Michael later at HAM, per usual, and scolded him for not waking up early enough to go to Mylo's.  I still haven't really heard anything about Montego, and the two times I have tried to go, they were having a private event (which I'm happy for them, it should definitely keep them in business), so I wasn't able to get in.

      <![CDATA[The best $10 we've spent in a LONG time was on the lobster risotto appetizer at 1620 Savoy on Thursday night. Big chunk of lobster claw meat and other noticeable bits in a small cup of creamy risotto. Great service and a great meal all the way around. A nice lightly battered/fried marble-size ball of gorgonzola as an amuse bouche and an appreciated lemon sorbet palate cleanser between courses. We sat in the swankier front room and there was a good, cool vibe. Very nice crowd, too. Seems to have become a see-and-be-seen magnet in WLR.

      <![CDATA[I stopped by Mylo Bakery (again) this morning to get my kouing amann fix. They were brilliant as always, but I sometimes wish I could get them fresh out of the oven. I think on cold mornings like today, it's not ideal to sell pastry on the street. They were still excellent though. Also tried out the new PB and J jumbo macarons...also fantastic. As good as my favorite macarons in central AR (Mary Clare) and a great price as well.

      <![CDATA[I hesitate to mention this, because I'm afraid it will become too well-known and cause them to run out of food before I can get there, but K Hall and Sons (Wright Ave/Battery) serves up some of the best boiled shrimp and/or crab legs every Saturday. <br>
