I would have asked them. "Did you survey these people," because they usually can not afford land telephone lines, over which surveys are usually conducted? I guess what I am saying is that if, by most, you mean 51 per cent, the survey may be right. However, I would like to hear how the other 49 per cent view their status.

It's the real estate market too. The Jones Center was being funded by sales of tracts of land Bernice Jones' family estate holds in west Springdale. When the Bush Bubble popped so did funding.
Jones Center was also top heavy, too many chiefs, not enough injuns and that is being slowly corrected. Large donors needed jobs for their offspring or those connected.

Walton Foundation recently made a large donation to fill a current funding gap.

Chickenopolis' Chamber of Welfare doesn't see fit to help the Jones Center. Quality of Life is never a consideration for Chickenopolis leaders at the City Council. They do see fit to funnel ONE MILLION DOLLARS every four years into the Chamber of Welfare.

As I understand it, the Jones money is not dried up, but the investments don't cover the center's operating costs due to this low-interest environment we've been in for the past 4-5 years. Also, more people are using the Jones Center, so maintenance costs are higher.
