Outlier, I apologize. You did NOT ever say anything like that. There were three others who had made those type of statements, but you were never one of them. I spent most of last night checking to see if you had ever uttered anything resembling that. You have been pretty steadfast that it is a woman's body and she has ultimate choice, but you were never as extreme as I stated you were.

That was my error in attributing the words of others to you, Outlier. For that error I apologize.

Still, there is the salient point regarding whether your believe if a man shares the responcibility for contraception, does he also share in the responcibility for a possible abortion.

If one applies the logic, women's issues are claimed as a woman's own, personal decision. I have read here, even from the Outliar, how a woman does not have to, nor should she consult with the man who impregnated her. Even if that man is her husband.

You can get your back up over the three dislikes, but the fact of the matter is, if you take a hard line about the choice of what to do with the pregnency, then the woman is responcible for how she got into that predicament. If she wants to share the resopncibility, allow input from the male part of the equation, then the guy shares the benefits AND the responcibilities.

All I am saying is that you can't have it both ways. If it is your body, treat it as such. If you want to whine about how it is the guy's fault, then you admitting it isn't your body.

Outliar hypocrisy revealed, yet again. First you have sovereignty over your body and no damn man has any say in matter of abortion, but she doesn't have sovereignty over what she allows between her legs? Consistency, Outliar, that is all that can be asked. If the guy has no say in the issue from a night pleasure, then why should he be carrying the burden of contraception?

When I was active, I always had my precautions on me, as I did take responsibility for my partnerships. Few guys do that, though. Ultimately, it IS the woman's responsibility as she is the guardian of the gateway.

If you want to whine about, "My body, my choise" then you better be ready to accept the consequences of that choice.

"The Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) was enacted in 1938. FARA is a disclosure statute that requires persons acting as agents of foreign principals in a political or quasi-political capacity to make periodic public disclosure of their relationship with the foreign principal, as well as activities, receipts and disbursements in support of those activities. Disclosure of the required information facilitates evaluation by the government and the American people of the statements and activities of such persons in light of their function as foreign agents. The FARA Registration Unit of the Counterespionage Section (CES) in the National Security Division (NSD) is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the Act."

I just did a quick google and found out the morning after pill costs anywhere from $10 to $80 depending on things like insurance, what pharmacy you use, etc.

So how about all you sexually active men start carrying one around in addition to the condoms you keep in your wallet or glove compartment.

Women do not get pregnant by immaculate conception. I am sick unto death of this being discussed as only a women's issue. It is not just a woman's responsibility to avoid pregnancy.

SP, many of them are campaigning to defend sperm and egg union. Recall how many Catholic bishops and the good MOther Theresa refused contraception to the poorest of the poor sayng that wearing a rubber was tantamount to abortion? It's crazy.

While some may espouse the ridiculous right to contraception or morning after pills, there is clearly no reason to ban such, or to make it more difficult to get. I was very happy with the moprning after pill, and wish women would use it so legislation like Rapert's bill would not get so much attention. Fewer women waiting till later to make a decision would certainly staunch the flow of women killing a living person weeks and weeks later. If in doubt, pop the pill, issue settled. The religious freaks would have less traction if women didn't wait til there was life in the belly. Harder for the religionists to defend the zygot.
