Too logical, Citizen 1. You have to remember that GOP Reds, or Maroons, as I prefer, have co-opted those famous old mandatory course that are not listed on any law school catalogue or curriculae. You know the ones where they teach lawyers to choke on a gnat and, yet, swallow a camel whole . . . when it is in their self-interest!

It appears to me education would cure nearly all the problems we have to date.

Civics education would clear up a lot of the freedom of religion issue that state money to a daycare to teach bible IS an establishment of that religion.

Statistics education would make it beyond obvious that 3 or 4 voter impersonations PER DECADE does not justify the extra time and cost of legislators passing idiot laws much less the drag down on voter lines to have the picture ID.
(75% of voters under 30 years old live at a different address than is on their 6 year old driver license)

Civics eduction would clear up that you are not discriminated against if your are simply halted from discriminating against others.
(Gays having a job)
(Blacks living next door)
(Muslims building their own mosque in your town)
(same sex couples getting even tax and inheiritance treatment in committed longterm relationships)
(gays spouse receiving Social Security survivor benefits that were paid for AT THE EXACT SAME RATE FOR THEIR WHOLE WORKING LIFE as hetero spouses)

Logic classes would clear up that since public sex is banned for everyone, what your neighbor does sexually in thier own bedroom between consenting adults doesn't concern you at all.

Economics classes would clear up the misnomer that the deffinition of "Job Creator" is a verb of one that created a job as opposed to a certain income level. (A thouand poor people spending every penny they make creates many more American jobs than a billionaire parking money in The Camens)

Shop class would give these politicians some other means of making a living than selling their souls to the highest bidder and regulating the hell out of everyone else's private lives.

Just their pocketbooks, strangely constructed and acted upon religious??? beliefs (regardless of what the top man JC has afore-stated), and their puppet masters. Now this would make a great documentary for big bird and the crew, afraid it would be censored all to hell though.

Sometimes I become confused about what makes a southern christian so I keep this list around to make sure I don't adhere...

Top Ten Signs You're a Fundamentalist Christian

10 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.

9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.

8 - You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Triune God.

7 - Your face turns purple when you hear of the "atrocities" attributed to Allah, but you don't even flinch when hearing about how God/Jehovah slaughtered all the babies of Egypt in "Exodus" and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in "Joshua" including women, children, and trees!

6 - You laugh at Hindu beliefs that deify humans, and Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky.

5 - You are willing to spend your life looking for little loopholes in the scientifically established age of Earth (few billion years), but you find nothing wrong with believing dates recorded by Bronze Age tribesmen sitting in their tents and guessing that Earth is a few generations old.

4 - You believe that the entire population of this planet with the exception of those who share your beliefs -- though excluding those in all rival sects - will spend Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering. And yet consider your religion the most "tolerant" and "loving."

3 - While modern science, history, geology, biology, and physics have failed to convince you otherwise, some idiot rolling around on the floor speaking in "tongues" may be all the evidence you need to "prove" Christianity.

2 - You define 0.01% as a "high success rate" when it comes to answered prayers. You consider that to be evidence that prayer works. And you think that the remaining 99.99% FAILURE was simply the will of God.

1 - You actually know a lot less than many atheists and agnostics do about the Bible, Christianity, and church history - but still call yourself a Christian.

When the neighbor next door rapes your 14 year old daughter and gets away with it, he'll be back with his pants around his ankles next week too.

So far the only knocks Justin Harris has received for gaming Arkansas laws of separation of church & state is our nasty little blog comments. Go ahead and blog ugly things about your daughter-raping neighbor and see if he quits. Now that the dim Arkansas voters have packed our state legislature with more Bible-thumping knuckle-draggers, Harris's religious training ground at state expense will just grow larger. He's liable to open a Clitoridectomy Clinic next door to remove Satan's Trigger from the little girls so they may live a more god-loving life when they're older.

And all this appears to be fine with the leaders of our goofy state. Following laws is for suckers. Go ahead and build a Jesus pre-school, we'll fund ya. Drive like Fireball Holland, we'll look the other way. Let Dimmy Altes put preachers in every classroom and all loose blacks on the next boat to Africa...need a little state money? And here's a coupon for a free Glock too....the better to pistol-whip yer wife in Boozman's district. We maybe shouldn't look down our nose at Oklahoma since we're at eye level with them already.
