Anyone who has enough integrity, commitment to progressive politics, name recognition, and financial wherewithal to take on a serious campaign without accepting contributions from the usual corporate interests is someone I haven't heard exists.

I would prefer, in addition to the above characteristics, a non-white, preferably a woman, to run.

If you think about it, poor people don't need highways. They can't afford to go anywhere. So this giant highway program ain't for them...it's for the minimum wage job creators who are always screaming for more and more and more money though they're sitting on millions & billions.

Maybe these just aren't good enough economic times to be building more roads. Where are we going to go? I love me a good road, but it looks like right now the only better roads we need are between here and Mexico....so it will be easier to let immigrants in to work for nearly nothing and haul our raw materials to Mexico to be turned into profitable products to enrich our already enriched. What's in it for you and me? Only the ability to wave HI and BYE.

Our Republicans will only work 2 areas....1 anything that will put a few more pennies in the pocket of the rich and 2 anything that cuts off support for struggling working folks.

Abortions and vaginal probes are just smoke to cover their looting. That's why we have to replace Beebe with another Democrat willing to battle the Moneypublicans of our state or just fold up our tents, put granny in the high back seat and point the old truck towards California...just like our great grandparents did in the 1930s.

Intelligent people (this, of course, rules out all of the current legislature) would think ahead when gasoline (and it will never be replaced by cheaper natural gas) will be $6-10/gallon and think abiout how you are going to get around then. Arkansas' elected "leaders?"-great 1930s thinking except when it comes to women or race and then it is 1867 thinking.
