Well, he's wrong about, or at least needs to present more evidence to prove his claims about man-made global warming.

His claims began to unravel after UN Climatologists at East Anglia University wrote in a series of secret emails they couldn't understand why the warming had stopped.

Additionally, NASA Satellite data, recently released, the most comprehensive temperature recordings ever taken show only a fraction of the warming Gore claims.

Other research demonstrates that historically, CO2 increases follow warming trends rather than precedes them.

More likely, if there is a warming trend, it's because the earth's rotation around the sun drifts over time.

Gore has made himself close to a billionaire investing in companies that stand to profit from the global warming racket and now the evidence is in serious doubt. Only the hardcore environmentalist refuses to at least ask him for more evidence!

Gore also sold his cable news station to al-Jazeeria, known for pro al-Qaeda and anti-Israel broadcasts throughout the middle-east. Now I guess their propaganda will be on cable TV stations in America too! Yeah, Gore's a great man.

I was there last night. If Al Gore had had the fire in his belly like last night way back in 2000, George Bush would have been in a front porch rocking chair instead of the White House. I don't buy all that Gore says but he is more right than wrong on most of his issues. And the clock is ticking.

eLwood - Brace yourself. I agree with you. let's talk about these things.

Citizen 1 - Your logic is poor at best. I never said we should have a discussion about the issue. I just said there are several points of you. Our energy and environmental issues are similar to old math problems with a bunch of variables. There is always more than one answer.

Al Gore is a blow hard who has little if any credibility on any issue. It would be comical if we took his positions on issues in 1988 or 1992 when he first lost his races for the presidency and compared them to his positions in 2000 and then compare them to today. He is guilty of 90% of which he speaks against.

Only when environmentalists and liberals appear?

Do you recall when Karl Rove did a presentation? No questions were allowed.

When the author of Bush's Torture Memos, John Yoo, appeared at Clinton Center? NO QUESTIONS were allowed.

Yea, you fellows really want and demand "dialogue and debate."

When Mittens came to town to campaign for the highest office in the USA it was invitation-pay only crowd hosted by the state's elites. He used the rear entrance to the posh hotel.

Now let's hear it about open dialogue and debate.

Dana, whether or not Al Gore is a hypocrite doesn't make what he says any less true.

"Many people have bought into Gore's line of thought ..."---Saline.

Saline, we haven't "bought in" to anything. Looking at the scientific facts has a way of convincing rational people that we need to get cracking about mitigating the effects of climate change.

It is already too late for some places. My son is going on a dive trip to the Maldives next month. That island nation is just a few feet above sea level at its highest point. If you want to see it, you had best go very soon or you will be seeing it through a snorkeling mask.

We have already spent about a million dollars moving a coastal village of 300 people in Alaska further inland. There will be others.

The amount spent on Solyndra is a tiny, tiny portion of our overall budget. There will be hits and there will be misses. You don't stop trying because of one failure.

We have to find another way of powering ourselves. The cost of fossil fuels is higher every day. Cheap coal and cheap natural gas have their own problems besides adding to the CO2 in the atmosphere.

Saline, as you know and have been told repeatedly, Solyndra was one of 26 energy grants and the one that failed. You will never hear a Repuiblican give any credit to those that worked. Buffett isn't that successful in funding new start-ups. Some are breaking even already. Some are successful.

I notice that you are using the government-sponsored Internet to complain about government involvement. Oil will not last forever and while we diddle around with the nay-sayers like you, China is bringing the cost of green energy down close to break-even and maybe even break-even now with the last batch of a penny a day increases on oil and gasoline. Germany has embraced home solar and reduced their need for new mercury spewing coal-fired power plants. Amazing that America invents the technology and then lets the rest of the world use it to improve their standartd of living while taking another industry away. The only industry that the Repuiblicans support is Defense where dollars are thrown around like confetti. (BTW, did we ever find that pallet of bundled $100 dollar bills lost in Afganhistan during theh Bush administration. Talk about wasting money. And then there was the needless war in Iraq.)

      Ooh!

Did Dickson Flake share renderings for that exciting new Tech Park with the former Veep?

Doubtless Buddy Villines seized the moment to collar Gore about the enthralling new "America's Bridge" that's going to attract, oh, millions and millions of tourist dollars!

And maybe somebody regaled Gore with how CHI is going to streamline the St. Vincent's / UAMS marriage and eliminate abortions.

It's not every day The Rock's movers and shakers get the chance to pitch Arkansas's iimpressive forward-looking visions to a world figure.

...it was a dark and stormy night. And the house was packed, Mr Gore certainly was fired up and we all ought to heed his predictions of where our country could be heading. I know I'm glad that I went to hear him.
