Mark Darr is a perfect example of the Tea Baggers who have taken over our state. He's not embarrassed by his juvenile behavior, he's too ignorant to be embarrassed by anything including being publicly outed as someone who doesn't pay his bills. He stands proudly on his monument of stupidity surrounded by others of equally small minds cheering him on.

That's the problem with politics....no matter how stupid you are or how horrible you behave, in the world of politics you can still find 100 people to stand around you, patting you on the back and swearing you're the smartest bestest gal or guy on earth.

Bill Halter proved that a smart person can do remarkable things with the near worthless office of the Lt. Governor, so I'm not going to advocate that the office be abolished because lightning might strike again on down the road. But in this time of cell phones, computers, iPads and so on, there's no reason for our Governor to hand over the power of his office when he leaves Arkansas soil.

Gov. Beebe could stay in instant communication 24-7 from China and govern as well from there as from his office in Little Rock on a short term basis. With a 1000 dollar laptop he could conduct a video conference with his staff or our legislature or even you or me, 24-7. President Obama travels all over the world and never cedes power to Joe Biden and psssst, he's black!

Like the stupid Alabama judge with his 10 Commandments rock, Mark Darr is a laughing stock, he'll be lucky to stock shelves at Home Depot when he leaves office.....he very well might live in a van down by the river. But our dumbest, racist, no-info cept Fox News voters gave us Mark Darr, Rapert, Bell, Martin and all the rest of the Baggers who will make Arkansas look like the dumbest state in the Union until they're voted out in 2014.

All we can do is cringe and hope that by next year the dimmer Arkansas voters will figure out modern Republicans are no damn good, they aren't from your father's Republican Party, they're Scientology Republicans, they're modern Dixiecrats, their NUTS! We must help our conservative friends, neighbors, relative, coworkers, church buddies.....we must make them ALL realize they're killing the country with their bad votes for bad Tea Bagger politicians....killing the country! Enough! Do Arkansas a big favor, elect no more Mark Darr idiots!

When the governor of your state calls your office (which for some reason requires a staff of 4 in addition to you) a "part-time job", you should be embarrassed.

When the author of the bill you signed (who like you is a member of the Republican Party) doesn't want any part of your obvious grandstanding, you should be embarrassed.

When you use concealed carry holders as political props and make their identities and visages even more widely known (something the bill you signed was supposed to make harder), you should be embarrassed.

When the governor of your state says you can't be trusted with the keys to the government, you should be embarrassed.

We (the citizens you claim to represent) had presumed a 40 year old elected official wouldn't need a babysitter. We were wrong, and you have embarrassed us all.

Mark Darr is correct. Mike Beebe is not his boss, the people of Arkansas are his boss. However, the people of Arkansas elected him not to grandstand but to work WITH the Governor and every other elected official.

The Lt. Governor's office has always represented an office that is an advocacy post. For all his displeasure of serving under Beebe, Bill Halter never countermanded the Governor. Neither did Jim Guy Tucker, who had a long standing feud with Bill Clinton, do anything untoward in his term as LG.

What Mark Darr did was inexcusable and proves he is unfit for the office.

I know most on this site will bark that no Republicans are fit to lead. However, the success of the country depends on having rational people on both sides. Our Dems have been holding the offices, serving in the committees and running th agencies for decades and decades. The Republicans have not had this experience. Now that the state wants to elect Republicans, they are going to have to live the learning curve with this less experienced group.

Go read about the South African Government when apartheid ended.
