There you have it in the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, Amy.<br>

What part of liberty, general welfare, justice, etc. do you not understand, Amy? I prefer the Feds look out for my liberty, general welfare, and justice than state legislatures---especially the current Arkansas lege.

      <![CDATA[They were right to vote against VAWA. This is a state's rights issue. The Arkansas legislature should be handling this. It's surprising that so many people want their state sovereignty taken away.

      <![CDATA[Somehow cotton, like many Republicans, is stuck is some bizarre 1950s social acceptance time warp.  The only positive here is he does not make it a secret on where he stands.  <br>
<br>
Certainly not the first statement he has made it clear where he stands on women's issues.  A few weeks ago he made it clear he was opposed to women serving in a combat role.  <br>
<br>
Now, if you have kept up with the news the last few years, women seem to have done just fine in some pretty tough combat zones and firefight situations.<br>
<br>
Unless the Democrat's find a strong contender next election, Cotton will be around for awhile.

      <![CDATA["Now if these members of Congress were women..." they would have been down in the Houase cafeteria making mint julips for teh menfolk as they would know their place. Now if the 51% of the population who are women would actually act like they have some status in the world, these a$$holes would be looking for new places to work in 21 months but since we have several churches who preach 2nd class status of women, they will probably be re-elected. Cotton-he was probably a little "under the weather: from his fundraiser by his Washington constituents since he sure as hell doesn't represent AR-4.

      <![CDATA["Rotten" Tom Cotton didn't vote for it because there probably aren't many women members of the Club for Growth (for tax dodging millionaires).<br>
<br>
Bozoman, Crawford, Griffin and Womack are all charter members of the Arkansas "Teapublimen Women Haters Club" and believe women only exist for vaginal probing.
