Re: “Griffen blocks use of execution drug, throws schedule into doubt. State objects to his hearing case

Just this afternoon I read the complaint. [Thanks, Max, for fixing the link!]

It seems to me that the complainant has a very good chance of prevailing. They emphasize that they seek only the return of their property and do not wish to impose any additional hardship (monetary award) on the State of Arkansas.

They also make the case that the State of Arkansas, since the last execution took place in 2005, has no need to rush these executions and will suffer no damage if forced to wait further.

Re: “Griffen blocks use of execution drug, throws schedule into doubt. State objects to his hearing case

I never cared for Griffin when I lived in Little Rock, and I don't care for him now.

But I don't think expressing his convictions on the death penalty has anything to do with the subterfuge that the State perpetrated in obtaining the drug for use in executions against the wishes of the manufacturer.

Those are two separate and distinct issues.

Re: “The bathroom bill brings a very personal response

Why don't they instead introduce legislation for unisex bathrooms? Is that too logical for these dumb-asses?

Re: “Trumped in Arkansas

You lump the convict Jim Guy Tucker in with men like Clinton, Fulbright, Rockefeller, Bumpers and Pryor? Seriously?

Re: “Tom Cotton leading charge to stop bipartisan criminal justice reform bill

@ geezer/fogie -
I agree with your assessment that Cotton has set his sights on higher office and will do anything to keep his name in the media reports, but the Manchurian Candidate was able to overcome the brainwashing and pursue a more honorable course of action. If the $1,000,000 Cotton received from Israel to undermine the Iran agreement is any indication, North Korea or Koch brothers can be discounted altogether. Unlike Ike, he is one soldier who loves the prospect of warfare and will do anything to line his own pockets.

What would it take to impeach this idiot?
