RIVERFEST has announced its final set of headliners: CeeLo Green, CMA Song of the Year winner Jamey Johnson and pedal steel virtuoso Robert Randolph and the Family Band. They will join a lineup that also includes Hank Williams, Jr., Salt-N-Pepa, Lee Brice, Chicago, The Wallflowers, Easton Corbin, Three Days Grace, The Fray and Buckcherry. This year’s festival will be held May 23-24; three-day passes will go on sale at half-price ($20) starting April 1.
Though founder and sometimes front man Harold Melvin died in 1997, his group the Blue Notes are still very much around and will headline this year's Blues on the River, brought to us by KOKY and set to be held at the First Security Amphitheater on May 3. The group launched Teddy Pendergrass' career, were crucial to the development of Philly Soul and disco, sued Neil Young for stealing their name in the late `80s and reunited for last year's Soul Train cruise.
Continuing its piecemeal approach to leaking details about its 2014 lineup, Riverfest has today added Chicago, Three Days Grace and Lee Brice to this year's schedule. They'll join Hank Williams, Jr., Salt-N-Pepa and Buckcherry, making for one of the strangest festival green rooms imaginable. This year's festival will be held May 23-25, and three-day passes will be onsale at half-price ($20) starting April 1.
