Re: “UPDATE: State Supreme Court has not yet acted Ward execution stay

The Dem-Gaz reported, "Legal battles will likely go before the U.S. Supreme Court today and receive a ruling, an attorney for the inmates said."

Do we seriously think there will be a ruling today? From the U.S. Supreme Court? Is it possible Don Davis could still be executed tonight?

If no, does the schedule change and pushed back to 20th, then the 24th, ...then the 27th? Excepting Ward and McGehee at this time, will the order remain the same should the federal appeals court and SCOTUS lift the stays?

Re: “U.S. drops enormous bomb in Afghanistan

How do you measure such intention? What's your gauge? Obama dropped over 26000+ bombs last year and had 10 times more drone strikes than Bush. Dropping bombs and conducting drone strikes may not be an effective gauge US protection intentions. It's easier to count bombs than it is to count peace agreements. Protecting Americans might mean not getting us into a war.…

Re: “LRSD reduces early voting options; omits black neighborhood

"Bryan Poe, the county election commission's director, said the decision was made by the school district", and to be more precise and less abstract, by Johnny Key.

Think they might have left an email trail regarding this decision at the school administrations office, the Pulaski County election commissioners/staff, and at Johnny Key's office.

And how is it that "the school district" is empowered to make decisions on what early voting locations are open?

Re: “Experts indicate Neil Gorsuch a plagiarist

Republican snowflakes would be rolling on the floor in a tantrum, convulsing and wheezing asthmatically, and then would have to retreat to their adult coloring books if Democrats reduced the filibuster threshold to a majority for Supreme Court nominees for a Democratic president.

I remember when the Dem-Gaz editorial writer and other columnists were so distraught at the fall of the filibuster by Harry Reid's Senate pushing the "nuclear option" button in 2013 on Obama's nominees to federal courts (except SCOTUS) and how this was the beginning of our country going from a democracy to fascism or dictatorship or monarchy or taken over by a united front of Cardassians and Romulans.
