That rumbling sound? That'd be your stomach. Even if you've just eaten. After 31 years of running this poll, we can attest: It is impossible to read the list of restaurants Arkansas Times readers have selected as the best in the state and look at pictures of food at those restaurants and not feel hungry.

Health consequences post-spill

As a physician from a small community in South Louisiana, I believe that I can speak for my fellow citizens when I state that our most sincere sympathies go out to the residents of Mayflower with regard to their environmental plight.

Dispatch from Nate Bell-land

I'm writing to tell you how much I enjoy reading the Arkansas Blog. Here in Nate Bell land (Mena), we have no state news coverage in our two newspapers nor on our radio stations. No one really knows what's going on in Little Rock or around the state unless they read it on the Internet. Actually, they do have a weekly column written by Nate Bell in the papers touting his opinions of all the good work he's doing for us. So again, no one really knows what's going on in Little Rock.

More Bell bashing

I am a resident of Massachusetts and the aunt of Lauren Rousseau. You might recognize her name; her body was blown apart by some of the 154 shots of the Bushmaster .223-caliber rifle that Adam Lanza used in his massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School. There were 20 innocent children and 5 other adults also murdered that day.
