Teen heartthrob Jesse McCartney (no relation to Paul) brings his mix of rap and pop/R&B to Alltel Arena on Wednesday, Aug. 30. The opening act is the striking Hope Partlow, another teen up-and-comer who will balance the show for the young males in the audience. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. McCartney recently picked up Teen Choice awards as best crossover artist, top male artist and breakout male artist. He’s best known for the hits “Beautiful Soul” and “She’s No You.” The 16-year-old Partlow is literally right off the farm from Drummonds, Tenn., near Memphis, and learned country and gospel songs from her guitar-playing father. Now fully into pop and rock, she has released a CD on Virgin Records this summer. Tickets are $35 through all Ticketmaster outlets (www.ticketmaster.com, 975-7575) or through the arena box office (975-9000).
