Local med student elected to Medical Society Board

The Arkansas Medical Society (AMS) adjourned its 130 th Annual Session, Friday, May 5, 2006, with the election of state officers by the House of Delegates.

Christian Hester, of Little Rock, was appointed as the AMS Student Trustee. He will serve a one-year term through May 2007.

Hester is a medical student who has been a member of the Arkansas Medical Society since 2003 and who most recently served as president of the AMS Student Section. As a member of the Board of Trustees, Hester will take part in regularly scheduled meetings to discuss issues of interest physicians and patient care.
