Mighty fine in 2009

Here we go again.

Readers, thousands of them, have spoken in our annual voting on the Best of Arkansas in 100 or so categories of commerce, entertainment and other interests.

We published paper ballots in our print edition in May. But balloting was also open during the month on-line.

Some old, some new faces appear.

(Talk about old. David Bazzel has been tabbed the best-looking guy by readers since we started this contest back in the 20th century. His staying power seemed to merit a return cover shot, this year with his his companion winner,  KATV's Beth Hunt.)

The results, with winners in the Little Rock area unless noted:

Sen. Jason Rapert (R-Conway)  was on "Capitol View" on KARK, Channel 4, this morning, and among other things that will likely inspire you to yell at your computer screen, he said he expects someone in the legislature to file a bill to do ... something about changing the name of the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport.
