Jason Willett has ousted Ron Oliver as chairman of the Arkansas Democratic Party.
Voting at the Democratic State Committee meeting in LIttle Rock that began Saturday morning lasted into the afternoon at the Holiday Inn Presidential Center.
The vote produced an instant change in party personnel. Michael Cook, who had been executive director and who had announced his coming resignation, was terminated. Four other employees will remain on the payroll for the time being.
